Buying CBD oil for your dog can be confusing and frustrating, especially when shopping for the first time. With some companies charging 3 times more than others for the same or similar strength tincture, choosing the right brand can be difficult. To help you make sure you are not overpaying for your dogs’ CBD oil we’ve created this price guide and included the most popular full spectrum canine CBD brands.

What Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil?

Full spectrum CBD oil contains all of the naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, oils, and organic compounds found in the hemp plant. All PIBBLES CBD tinctures are made with full spectrum CBD oil.

If a brand is missing from the list it means their oil is either broad spectrum or isolate based, or that they don’t post their lab reports on their website. If there is a brand of full spectrum CBD oil for dogs that we missed, please send us an email and they’ll be added to the list.

What’s the difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolate?

Why Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil Better?

Full spectrum CBD oil is better than broad spectrum or CBD isolate oil because it is known to create the entourage effect. The entourage effect is a process where all of the organic compounds in a tincture work together to enhance and improve it’s overall effectiveness.

To confirm that a CBD tincture is full spectrum, check out it’s lab reports on the brand website. A lab report for a full spectrum oil will contain detectable levels of CBD, CBG, CBC, CBDV, THC, and occasionally CBN.

How To Compare CBD Tinctures

There are two important numbers to look for when comparing CBD tinctures.

  1. Price
  2. Milligrams of CBD (Not to be confused with milliliters)
For a true “apples to apples” price comparison of any CBD tinctures regardless of bottle size (ml), cost, or amount of CBD (mg), simply divide the price by the milligrams of CBD to get the price per mg of CBD. Example 1: If you bought a 250mg tincture that sells for $19.99, you’re paying $.07 cents per milligram of CBD. (19.99/250 = .07) Example 2: If you bought a 300mg tincture that sells for $40, you’re paying $.13 cents per milligram of CBD. (40/300 = .13)

As you can see, there’s a pretty big difference in price per mg of CBD depending on which brand you choose. Don’t be fooled into thinking that just because a product has a higher price that it’s better for your dog. That’s definitely not the case.
